Manatee
Grey zen torpedoes
stealthily silently softly glide
pfffffff pfffffff
breathy water mamals
bobbing blimps turning rolling
reflected fluid visions
quiet conversations
a sacred temple, a master class
be humble, move slowly with purpose
and breathe, great gulps of life
Bailey, Eileen. poetry Chronogram
7/20, page 88
Antsy Pantsy rigmarole
Darting eyes and heavy soul
Pick it up to put it down
Empty street and empty town
Looking down at gnarly toes
Stale pajamas prick the nose
Dead end travels how to cope
Trust in rainbows, love and hope
Bailey, Eileen. poetry Chronogram
7/19, page 106
Tanning Annie loved the sun
Looked just like a raisin bun
Brown and crispy, tawny tight
Soaking up the golden light
When she tried to move a bit
Found she couldn't even sit
Petrified now, sinew bone
On the hilltop all alone
Bailey, Eileen. poetry Chronogram

A house bounces, gravestones lean
Jellyfish umbrellas open and close
Drifting down to darkness up to light
Water lapping tongues slap and sip
Recent work:
Eyes peek over
Masks that matter
Doors shut wings cut
Time tumbles lost
Distance realigns
Reality redefined
I find my mind
Jumbled adrift to
What if?
Stir up the pot
Stir up the pot
Resurrect relics and ghosts
Scrape at the corners
Tacky tar bits of jumbled junk
Turn up the heat
Boil up faces forgotten spaces
Poke at the bubbles
Smell youth smell time
Swirl the brew
Blend tasty truths and lies
Spoon from the bottom
A garbage soup this life
A jumble rumble blended mush
A yuck muck pickled slush
A tired fired random stew
A color yellow color blue
Manatees
Grey zen torpedoes
Stealthily silently glide
Pffffffff pffffffff
Breathy water mammals
Bobbing blimps rolling
Reflections of mingles visions
Quieting conversations
A sacred temple
A master class
Be humble
Move slowly
And breathe
Great gulps of air
In out
In out
Haikus for Remnant Series Paintings
Burning sun baked bee
Tentatively poked stillness
Life’s discarded sock
Plated star anise
Mummified in napkin shroud
Orange slice moon rose
Burnt bark survivor
White shell candies popped from sand
Nested pocket pals
Grey, green ocean gifts
Bloated bladders, shattered shards
Necklaced water’s edge
Stinkbugs, aged blossoms
Litter inconvenient nooks
Ignored detritus
Life labyrinth revealed
Dead ends, exits, passageways
Blue storied journeys
Water chestnut babe
Throne room, armored nursery
Assaults naked feet
Dismembered crabs rest
Assorted sand bed pillows
Sleeping polka dots
Cushioned pine bed steps
Muffled oaken acorns crunch
Broken amber spheres
